Our whole lives we have heard, and for those of us who are parents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, grandparents, or friends we still hear “out of the mouths of babes”! No truer words will ever be spoken by anyone other than children.
As a child, I loved clothes, I loved the clothes I loved – not the clothes my parents loved. As a mom, I realized there could be a middle ground, a place that appreciated where kids are coming from when choosing what they want to wear (fun, soft, fuzzy, the important things to kids) but also clothes parents could appreciate.
The team at Von P Kids set out on a mission to create pieces that in turn will produce lasting memories through fun, funky, unique, well-made designs. Whether it’s being the life of the party or standing out in family fun or class pictures.
Our goals are simple really, to be unique, to never compromise quality, to challenge the status quo. Bedazzled princess t-shirts and unicorn prints will always have a place in our little girls’ wardrobes, but we believe there should be some special pieces, some Von P Kids pieces that are not worn by the masses, that turn heads and most importantly, kids have fun wearing and are comfortable in, and parents know are well made and durable.
When asked how does Von P Kids come up with the designs, the fabrics, the styles? The secret is simple – I engaged my daughters… They are our models, our comfort ambassadors and our quality control and quality assurance champions. They play a role in every step of the process. Together we choose the design and pick the fabrics, they wear them i.e., test drive them, and then provide feedback; “out of the mouths of babes”! You will notice in our cold season collections that many of our pieces are lined with a soft, warm, and cozy lining. This came about after a chilly morning, outside on the playground, when a simple “Mom, I’m cold, I wish this was softer and warmer” and voila!
To sum it up, Von P Kids is about creating memories through clothes. To make kids smile and have fun wearing funky, stylish and unique pieces that big box stores simply don’t offer.
